Medium : Rogan art painted with caster oil on cotton canvas 

Joyful and spontaneous, the art-work is based on the colorful and decorative life of Ahirs, the local farming communites from Kachchh. The burst of maroon and the irregularity of it adds drama to the whole design.

The work uses the traditional skills of Rogan craft, the technique of applying oil based paint made from boiled castor oil and natural color pigments onto the textile.
