The work communicates a cosmological and mythlogical energy through a complex symbols of ritual activities found in the ancient Sami religion. The art work is inspired by the South Sami decoraton style found on their frame drums. The main feature of this decorative style is a sun cross with floating symbols along the unbroken path of the outer edge.

The work uses the traditional skills of Rogan craft, the technique of applying oil based paint made from boiled castor oil and natural color pigments onto the textile.
