Folkish Landscape, Woven Rug

Medium : Kharad weaving, with hand-spun wools made from camel,  sheep and goat hair.

Woven rug using the the techniques of Kharad weaving. For the design, we used the folk elements, traditional and inspired, with such artistic effect to make it appreciable to contemporary home settings. The design is a picture of a folkish landscape that unfurls cooly in a neutral color palette, and threading across to hold together a tapestry of bold motifs. 

Woven on a basic traditional nomadic loom, the rug used wool yarns made from camel hair (the browns), sheep hair (the whites), and goat hair (the blacks).

Care instructions : Cold water wash.
