Gunjan Jain, founder and artist of textile design studio Vriksh Designs, transitioned from fast fashion to handcrafted textiles in 2008, collaborating directly with weavers and artisans in rural India. Her focus is on reviving dying and the lesser-known weaves of Odisha and other parts of India. She offers contemporary aesthetics in traditional Indian textiles and the sari has been her choicest medium of expression. Her work has been shown around the world.
