Russell Street Anokhi is a legendary store in Kolkata that has been screen printing cotton upholstery for five decades. Prints that range from the modern to the traditional, graphic to floral and animal to bird are all created from hand cut metal screens and printed on long tables, in a factory that has remained unchanged since Amita Basu started it as a solution to the lack of variety on offer for her design business. They have been copied for years, and now for the first time will be available to anyone, direct from their workshop.
