Gonds are a tribe from central India. They have been painting beautifully for more than 2000 years. Their paintings capture nature, festivals, and folklore in vivid colours and dramatic forms. Gond paintings were traditionally painted on walls by the women using colours made from charcoal, coloured soil, plant sap, leaves, and cow dung.
