A dress born purely out of our love for alponas in Bengali households. Reminiscent of white rice paste alponas on red oxide floors of old Calcutta homes, this dress comes with careful placement of threadwork. The sleeves carry panelled work of alpona with anchoring and netting. The entire front yoke is adorned with barfi honeycomb. With kantha on the neckline and soft gathers around the waist, this triangle jamdani dress with larger triangles along the hemline, stands out for its intricate and heavy detailing. The back has intricate chevron anchor work. Comes with pockets and a separate mul slip.
