Vidya Devi Soni, 75 years old, lives in Bhilwara, Rajasthan and started learning at the age of six under the guidance of her father and mother. She is a Manadana painting artist. Traditionally, Mandana paintings were wall and floor paintings done in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Mandana were drawn to protect home and hearth, welcome gods into the house and as a mark of celebrations on festive occasions.
