- About Us
KAR Conscious Living
KAR, derived from the word “KARIGAR” (artisan/ craftsman) is a reflection of the real people behind the brand - the doers, the makers and the ones that care about every detail of our design.
KAR’s raw fabrics and subtle designs celebrates Indian textiles in a different light - one that strips away the loud colors and elaborate prints and shows the very essence of our weaves. From organic bio-wash cotton bedding to handwoven wool, KAR promotes a conscious state of being, a mindful way of life.
The KAR team aims to elevate and bring ancient Indian techniques like block printing and embroidery to the forefront in a contemporary fashion all whilst retaining the core elements that continue to make Indian fabric a worldwide phenomenon.
