Julie Kagti
Julie Kagti has a diploma in textile design from Sophia Polytechnic, Bombay 1993. subsequently worked at Maskara Exports handling design and merchandising and worked as a textile designer at Himatsingka Seide Ltd, Bangalore. Then went on to start her own studio and workshop.
In recent years she has added on to her resume by venturing into promoting the Northeast of India through curated tours and experiences. She stands as a pillar for the tribal communities of the region, assisting them in developing and showcasing their unique crafts and culture. Her participation in global and local summits is not just representation; it's a celebration of the emerging artisans of the Northeast, a testament to the vibrancy and resilience of these communities.
