Helping Hands
The Helping Hands Foundation works with children who are diagnosed with cancer through the Accommodation Project and the Survivor Project. The Accommodation Project provides free accommodation to the child and the family during treatment in Dharamshalas surrounding the hospital and the Survivor Project works towards regular testing and rehabilitation of children who beat cancer. Helping Hands raises funds and works closely with the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai to ensure no child who comes to the city for treatment ever gets abandoned because of a lack of accommodation. By training underprivileged women to cut, roast, pack and label nuts and grains for healthy snacking they are able to raise funds and create excellent products, ensuring that everything they do is part of a backward integration.
