Dwij
In present times, due to fast fashion, the majority of textiles are incinerated or dumped into landfills. 'dwij' which means "second life" in Sanskrit was founded to address these humungous wastes. dwij upcycles post-consumer jeans and post-industrial garments waste into accessories like totes, slings, backpacks. dwij has an in-house manufacturing setup and a network of women working from home who need an additional income to support their families. To date, dwij has upcycled more than 4500 pairs of jeans, 1200 m of post-industrial denim, 1400 m of post-industrial fabric.
